I have been fortunate to travel the world, always with a camera in one hand and usually coffee in the other. As an artist, I seek to create images with a sense of place, interest, moment, drama, and beauty. Through the digital darkroom, I embrace the freedom to shape an image to realize the full potential of a scene, with no apologies. An image is not finished until I’ve worked it all the way through to the final print. The catalog of images I’ve collected over the years is the canvas on which I create the now contemporary final image. On a trip to the Galápagos, I was concerned about seeing Darwin’s finches. I needn’t have worried, as you can see they were never far from wherever I chose to sit and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee.
