ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jennifer Faria is a fine artist, portrait painter, and children’s book illustrator based in Burlington, Ontario. Her love for drawing started in early childhood and deepened through formal training at Central Technical School’s Fine Arts Program in Toronto. She later earned a diploma in Graphic Design and Advertising from George Brown College, paving the way for a diverse creative path.
Jennifer’s artwork has been featured in numerous exhibitions throughout Toronto, and she’s known for both commissioned portraits and original paintings. As the illustrator of Raven, Rabbit, Deer and Finding Moose by Sue Farrell Holler (Pajama Press), she brings narrative worlds to life with expressive visuals.
During the pandemic, she turned her attention to creating smaller, more frequent works to share online. Her semi-surrealist style, fueled by beauty, idealism, and imagination, celebrates the emotional depth found in everyday scenes.
Go-to Coffee Order: Extra-large drip coffee or Americano with two creams
Coffee Sanctuary: Too many to count—coffee shops have long been the backdrop to major chapters of my life. They’ve been my office, meeting space, sanctuary, and social hub since I was a teenager.
